Relief for the Middle Class: New Income Tax Slabs in Budget 2025

In a move aimed at providing relief to the middle class, the Union Budget 2025 introduced new income tax slabs that simplify the tax structure and reduce the burden on taxpayers. Here are the updated tax slabs:

• Income from ₹4 lakh to ₹8 lakh: 5%

• Income from ₹8 lakh to ₹12 lakh: 10%

• Income from ₹12 lakh to ₹16 lakh: 15%

• Income from ₹16 lakh to ₹20 lakh: 20%

• Income from ₹20 lakh to ₹24 lakh: 25%

• Income above ₹24 lakh: 30%
  
  No Tax till 12 lacs Income:
  The new regime allows individuals earning up to ₹12 lakh to pay no income tax, raising the previous threshold of ₹7 lakh. This change is expected to increase disposable income for many families.
